LINDSAY & BRETT

OCTOBER 27

Photographing Lindsay and Brett’s special day brought us so much joy. With their infectious personalities and contagious smiles, these two made it easy (and fun!) to be a part of their special day. The pair began dating when he was fourteen and she was sixteen (she jokes about being a cougar!) on a mission trip in Kentucky where they provided home repairs to those in need in the beautiful Appalachian mountains. These childhood sweethearts had their wedding at the historic Van Dusen Mansion in Minneapolis was not only beautiful, but filled with so much laughter and love-making it one of our all-time favorites. A special little fact the bride shared with us, "We started dating on July 11th and got engaged on July 11th. So July 11th seemed like the right day to get married- why memorize a new anniversary after seven years?" How perfect!

JACKIE & MATT

SEPTEMBER 25

Jackie and Matt’s woodland wedding was like stepping into a forest fairytale. It’s the type of wedding little girls dream of, finding your prince waiting for your beneath the pines. “We wanted a classic but rustic feel, nothing over the top,” the bride describes, “Echo Valley is nestled in the most beautiful spot, and we didn’t want anything to take away from that.” We were so thrilled to be a part of their magical day and were luck enough to capture all these wonderful moments!

RACHAEL & ERIK

MAY 22

As far as outdoor venues go, there is nothing quite like Camrose Hill Flower Farm in Stillwater, Minnesota. What once was an old dairy farm, is now a romantic and dream-like retreat making it a highly sought after location for summer weddings. Slightly rustic and oh-so-chic, Rachael and Erik’s wedding day vision was brought to life at Camrose Hill. Pulling inspiration from the vibrant scenery, the couple used a mix of greens, navy, and orange for their décor,  oral arrangements, and wedding party’s attire. One touch we especially loved were photographs strung amongst the trees honoring loved ones who could not be there on their special day.The Farm is also the home and workshop to Cindie Sinclair, a  oral designer known for natural garden style arrangements. Sinclair has thought of every detail, making the space have a private and personal appeal.

BRITTANY & SAM

NOVEMBER 21

What can we say about these two other than they’re absolutely perfect for each other? Brittany and Sam’s urban glam wedding at Aria in Minneapolis has to be one of our favorites. From the abundance of greenery and florals to their whimsical details, their glamorous reception was executed to perfection. And, as the bride says, “everything looks better with a chandelier… or 10…” (we have to agree!). Although their ceremony/reception was memorable, the couple also experienced a wedding night they’ll never forget. “Sam and I climbed into bed around 1 a.m., only to be woken up at 5 a.m. by the hotel fire alarms. Yes, there was an actual fire!” the bride shares, “So, with messy hair and makeup still half on, we sat in the hotel lobby for over an hour with our guests that wanted to reminisce about the night before...yes, too soon.” We couldn't help but laugh as Brittany shared this story with us, as it just goes to show that when it comes to planning your day, there's always at least a few surprises!

JENNA & D.W.

SEPTEMBER 6

Jenna and D.W.’s Mill City Museum wedding was nothing short of glamorous. It seemed as if every detail was thought of, but that came to no surprise when we found out that Jenna had not only the help of her bridesmaids, but her husband’s ten (yes, TEN) sisters! “I'm a DIY'er at heart,” the Bride states, “Most of the centerpieces as well as the photo booth props were hunted down by me and one of my bridesmaids at flea markets and antique fairs. I even made my own veil!” We were so impressed by this wedding and loved every moment of their vintage glam event that we just had to share.

MONICA & PABLO

SEPTEMBER 13

Everything about Monica and Pablo’s reception mirrored their love of classic details, from the romantic oral centerpieces to the table linens in shades of blush and gold. The groom was dressed in a timeless black tuxedo, while the bride wore a white Vera Wang ball gown. The couple wanted their day to be sophisticated and chic, with a touch of vintage. With the help of The Saint Paul Hotel, their vision was beautifully executed.
