With more than 30 years of floral design experience, Susan has always-adored working with flowers and gardening. Susan’s mother worked in a flower shop from 1945 to 1960 and her daughter also worked with her at a florist in Superior, Wisconsin. Susan made fresh, wild arrangements for giving gifts when she was a child and has been planting and tending to her gardens ever since.
She has worked in floral design professionally since 1981, first with Bachman’s division of “European Flower Markets” in Superior and then with Engwall Florist of Duluth/Superior. Susan studied floral design with Ardith Beveridge at Koehler & Dramm’s Institute of Floristry in Minneapolis from 2000 to 2002.
Susan has also been doing custom weddings each season for brides since 2004. She loves wedding work because she loves the creation of romance through flowers and enjoys working with people who want to say something special with their arrangements. She understands how to listen to her clients and bring their dreams into floral reality with an affordable budget. If you know your colors or favorite flowers but do not know what you want, trust her guidance and she will make the journey pleasurable and pleasing. Susan specializes in hand wrapped corsages and boutonnières and hand tied bouquets. However creative your theme is, Susan is original and industrious and your wedding flowers will be fresh, beautiful and one of a kind.
