From their undoubtable chemistry to their mutual amazing sense of humor, it’s hard not to think that Monica and Justin were simply meant for each other. However, that’s not the case. “We met at a sushi restaurant when we were all celebrating one of our mutual friends,” Monica shares, “We did NOT like each other at first.” Sure, there wasn’t that love-at-first-sight moment, but over time, their friendship grew and soon Monica found herself packing up her bags and leaving sunny San Diego to move to the Midwest to be with Justin. If that isn’t love, we don’t know what is! When it came to their wedding day, Monica wanted to pay honor to her California roots and add a little west coast flair to their reception. “We went with light pastels, and lots of greenery and succulents. We were drawn to the Nicollet Island Pavilion for its exposed brick and outdoor tented space. We loved being able to have people play yard games and socialize during the cocktail hour and then wander outside throughout the reception for pictures by the river.” We loved every little detail of Monica and Justin’s wedding. And with 62 degrees and sunny weather, you couldn’t ask for a more perfect fall day.

Every couple strives to have a wedding day that perfectly represents their relationship, including details that reflect their interests and personalities. Jacie and Josh’s August wedding at Aria in Minneapolis did exactly that. Jacie, who was born in the Philippines, wanted to incorporate as much tradition into their ceremony and reception as possible. The ceremony included a hymn in her native language, "Tagalog," her bouquet was filled with Filipino flowers, and they even influenced their caterer to make a permanent change to their menu! “Food is a highlight of our daily lives, and we wanted it to be a highlight of our wedding,” Jacie explained, “We actually taught Deco Catering to make an original Filipino dish, chicken adobo. That dish was also a surprise to the guests, and Deco has since then adopted the recipe!” With their beautiful and personal touches, Jacie and Josh’s wedding stole our hearts.

MAY 20

We have something to admit—we have a soft spot for a barn wedding. And Historic Hope Glen Farm is the quintessential outdoor venue. With its beautiful heated and air-conditioned dance hall, 300-person pavilion, and 500 acres of land, Hope Glen Farm provides ample space for all your family and friends on your special day. Kim and Jon didn’t miss one detail when it came to their rustic May wedding. Using a bold color palette, the couple decorated their wedding to perfection with vintage decor and an abundance of fresh flowers. Their reception included lawn games, a corral with sheep and goats for the children, and catering by Gastrotruck. “We knew we liked the farm style, and we just loved that Hope Glen was so authentic,” the couple says of their venue decision, “It’s not a ‘barn’ built for events, this truly was a working farm in its day and is well over a hundred years old. ” Located just 15 minutes south of St. Paul, this historic farm is the perfect location for couples looking for something with a lot of charm that’s off the beaten path.

One of the greatest things about the Calhoun Beach Club is that it is a timeless venue that can be designed to reflect any couple’s taste. For Sarah and Chris, the simplicity and elegance of the location provided the perfect backdrop to their sleek and modern wedding day. The pair chose a mix of pinks, navy and gold for their florals and table settings that adorned the otherwise clean and simple white space. For a vintage touch, darling succulents were planted in antique silver teapots and vases.

We’ve all heard the saying “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” But it doesn’t always… Sometimes you end up meeting the love of your life, like Justine and Jin did while on vacation. Flash forward five years later, the couple was back in Las Vegas with their families when Jin got down on one knee and popped the question. Justine and Jin’s June wedding in Saint Paul couldn’t have been more picture-perfect. Sticking with their vision of simplicity and elegance, the pair chose the Landmark Center as the backdrop for their dreamy day. Using a bold, soft, and romantic color palette, the couple decorated their wedding venue to perfection with vintage touches and an abundance of fresh flowers. However, when asking the bride about her favorite detail from her wedding day she said, “My grandparents were able to read a scripture passage. It meant the most to Jin and I because they have been married so long—they are our inspiration.”

Jacqueline and Matthew’s wedding was nothing short of beautiful.
