Your wedding is about you, your new spouse, and your friends and family all coming together to bless and celebrate this momentous next life phase you’re embarking on. It’s not about how anyone else thinks you should do it, and it is *definitely* not about what kind of music the DJ personally likes, or what a big shot they think they are. We may be highly visible, but at the end of the day we are customer service professionals and audio-visual technicians, not rockstars (or stand-up comedians). That being said, no other vendor decision you make will have as much of an effect on your overall experience or the way you and your guests remember your wedding.  So you want to know that you’re working with someone who *gets* you, who understands your vision, and has the experience and expertise to deliver precisely the type of magical evening you will never get tired of reliving. Someone you can trust to coordinate with all the other vendors to keep the ceremony and reception flowing smoothly. Someone you can trust to make the thousands of little decisions throughout the night that you really don’t want to have to make yourselves. That’s a lot of trust!  I’ve been obsessed with music my whole life, and I come by it honestly. I’ve got the Big Band jazz compilations in old-man cursive and the cowboy-ballads-and-ambient-electronics compilations in middle-aged-man print to prove it. Music has ALWAYS been my religion.  The alchemy of a well-executed transition has yet to lose any of its magic for me. Weddings are by far the most fun and the most interesting events because there’s just so much individuality and significance to each one. Each one is a unique opportunity to be a fly on the wall, to vicariously enjoy this joyous occasion in the lives of a couple hundred single-serving friends. I get to hear people say sweet and funny and scandalous things about each other, I get to celebrate a love powerful enough to build a family on, and I get to do it all over again the next weekend.  After all, ‘Every wedding is the Super Bowl’. I’m focused on nailing the fundamentals, and bringing my clients’ vision to life with flair and finesse, every single time.  I may never grow up to be an astronaut, or an Atlanta Brave, or Zayn Malik’s replacement in the reconstituted One Direction. But I do get to be a Wedding Wizard, and I think that might just be the coolest job of all. So leave the music to me. You go have the time of your life.
