Hi there, I'm Bonita. I am a Minnesota girl who spent many years in New York working in the fashion industry. While I loved my time and career in NYC, I eventually returned to Minnesota to be closer to my family. At that time, I decided to pursue a degree in art. In college, I picked up a camera and developed a love for photography. Now, I never feel more comfortable than when I am behind a camera but my experience in the fashion industry has proven to be so helpful in guiding my clients through poses and helping them feel confident. When photographing a wedding, I look for details and unscripted moments that tell your story. I am inspired by light and color and my style is a combination of classic and editorial. I have been working as a photographer shooting weddings, families, and pets for about ten years and my film photography work has been exhibited at the Praxis Gallery and the University of Minnesota. I have a B.A in Art and a minor in Design from the University of Minnesota. On an individual note, I am married and have two dogs and a cat. When I am not photographing someone, or something, I enjoy walking my dogs, baking, and working with my husband renovating our old Victorian house! I look forward to working with you and creating amazing memories of your wedding day!
